After reading ‘Grow Flower, Grow!’ by Lisa Bruce, we decided to make giant flowers out of paper plates. For the children who have difficulty using scissors, we precut the paper plates to resemble flowers. For the kiddos who are masters using the scissors, we drew petals and had them cut them out. Later we had them paint their ‘flowers’ and glue a pompom in the center. For those of you who want to, you can also have them glue real seeds in the center. I then gave them green bulletin board paper and they scrunched them up to look like stems. We also had leaf shapes they could cut out for the leaves.
Love this board!
